Terms of Service

The deal, in plain language.

Effective September 1, 2026

1. What this service is

Advance Preview (“the Service”, “we”) is a paid advertising and directory service: a public board where listings for coming-soon products are ranked by the amount paid for them. A listing is an advertisement you purchase, not an investment, endorsement, or guarantee of any outcome (traffic, sign-ups, or otherwise). By using the Service — and in particular by submitting any payment — you agree to these terms.

2. No accounts; the manage link is your key

The Service has no user accounts. A listing’s identity is its normalized URL. When a listing is created, we issue a single manage link containing a bearer token; that link is the only credential for editing the listing and marking it shipped. You are responsible for storing it securely — anyone holding the link can edit your listing’s content. If you lose it, we can rotate the token after you prove control of the listed URL; the old link stops working.

3. Payments are final

Every charge is a fee for advertising / directory listing — a digital service delivered at the moment of payment, when your listing or bid takes effect on the board. All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes bids that are later outranked: being outbid is how the board works, not a service failure. Card payments are processed by Stripe; USDC payments settle on public blockchains (Base or Solana) via the x402 protocol and are irreversible by nature.

In the rare case where a payment settles but a claim can no longer be applied (for example, a competing bid changed the price mid-flight), the payment is recorded in a reconciliation queue and we will, at our discretion, either apply an equivalent claim or return the payment. You will never simply lose a settled payment.

4. Bidding mechanics

The full mechanics are published on the rules page and are part of these terms: listings start at $5; raises are whole dollars and charge only the difference; the #1 position costs the current top bid plus $5 (including tie-takes); bids never expire; ties rank the older listing higher; the $1 shipped stamp is founder-only and never changes rank or bid. Prices are recomputed from live board state at the moment of settlement — the quoted price at checkout may be rejected if the board changed, in which case you are not charged a different amount without a matching claim.

5. Content rules and your responsibilities

You may only list products and websites you are authorized to promote. Prohibited: chat or invite links, URL shorteners, adult platforms, IP addresses or internal hostnames, and anything unlawful, deceptive, or infringing. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing’s content and for the destination your waitlist link points to. By submitting content (titles, pitches, images) you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display it as part of the board, listing pages, and generated preview images.

6. The public record

The board is a public record by design. Listings, bid amounts, rank changes, and ship events are published permanently on the listing’s page (its “lore”) and may appear in feeds, tickers, and shared preview images. Do not list anything whose existence you need to keep confidential.

7. Moderation

We may hide listings that violate these terms — that is the extent of moderation, and hiding a rule-breaking listing does not entitle its purchaser to a refund. Rank is never editorially adjusted: no listing can pay us for placement outside the public bidding mechanics, and we do not accept payment to demote others.

8. Automated use (agents)

The Service is intentionally machine-payable: software agents may read the board and submit paid claims via the documented API. Submitting a payment through any interface — human or automated — constitutes acceptance of these terms by the person or entity operating the payer.

9. Availability and changes

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may modify features, suspend, or discontinue the Service. We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and continued use — including any new payment — constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for the products listed by others, for the destinations of outbound links, or for losses caused by blockchain networks, wallets, or payment processors we do not control.

11. Contact

Questions, takedown requests, or lost manage links: contact@advancepreview.com. Security reports are covered by the security policy published in the project repository.
